I am a PhD candidate in Political Science and a Doctoral Fellow at the Center for Social Policy at the University of New Mexico. My research focuses on gender and race politics in the US and Japan. In my dissertation, Comparative Analysis of Sexual Harassment Policy and Implementation, I address the question of when and why states introduce certain sexual harassment legislation and what this looks like in practice, exploring in depth the cases of Japan and the United States.
